It could be what happened yesterday. If a work colleague, what's going on in the office or on the job floor. Often we acquaint story-telling with our grandparents, even our parents, hopefully fascinating enough to listen and learn what was important for them.
Bay-Lakes Council scouting has a story to tell; many of them actually. Every GUIDE, you are encouraged to click on the Program link at the top of this page, but we know that not enough follow through to check out all the activities in the coming year. Similarly, there are 3-4 graphics publicizing something that is going on and encouraging you again to click the link for more information. We DO have a story to tell as well, near and far and wide...MANY stories actually. Just tomorrow alone: the Klondike Derby, winter fun in the Gathering Waters District, the Scout Day at Ski Brule in Iron River, and the 75th Anniversary of Klondike Derbies at Camp Hiawatha. Most every weekend, fun and scouting--there for the doing! And, there is still more, especially this summer at our four camps, both new and improved programming and fondly-remembered activities. Is your child a Cub Scout? Head for Rokilio. Scouts BSA? The newly rebuilt Bear Paw Scout camp awaits with additional adventures at nearby Gardner Dam Adventure Base. A wilderness style of camping? Join us at Camp Hiawatha. Speaking of Gardner Dam, it is not just for the best Webelos experience in the Midwest; there will be Family Adventure Camp and special Scout, BSA Adventures for individual youth, ages 11-17, with adult leadership provided. (Scouts can also participate in this program with their families in our Family Adventure Camp.) And, save the weekend for SCOUT FEST, Sept. 22-24, at Bear Paw and Gardner Dam. It will be the largest Bay-Lakes Council event in over a decade as we celebrate 50 years of service to youth in the Bay-Lakes Council. We have a story to tell: this summer, YOUR SUMMER, will be packed with adventure and unique advancement opportunities. But only at a Bay-Lakes Council Camp. Plan your Summer Adventure with your family today!
