Hello Scouts, Scouters, and Scouting Families!

Welcome to October! Wow, was September a busy month! Here in the Lakeshore District, we have welcomed over 100 new Cub Scouts, hosted a Fish-O-Ree, Cub Scout Fishing Day, Eagle Scout Projects are being tackled, and more! In this edition of the Lakeshore Link you will read about Scouting topics including the Popcorn Sale, Fall Recruitment, pictures of past events, resources, district & council activities, and more.

Fall Recruitment Update:
Goals, Stretch Goals, and Incentives Oh, My!

I am happy to announce that Lakeshore District has reached a huge milestone!  We officially have more Scouts registered than we did at the end of last year and are well on our way of reaching our district Fall Recruitment goal of welcoming 309 new Scouts. To help reach that goal each unit has been assigned a base & stretch goal for recruitment and the council has come up with a great incentive for those who reach those goals.
  • Units will receive 1 Free Registration to Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation (BALOO), or Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills (IOLS) for achieving their assigned New Youth Base Fall Recruitment Goal by October 31, 2022.
  • Each unit will receive a Second Free Registration to Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation (BALOO), or Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills (IOLS) for achieving their assigned New Youth Stretch Fall Recruitment Goal by October 31, 2022.
So far we have 4 Packs who have earned the stretch goal!
