There is still time for your Pack, Troop, or Ship to participate in the Council Spring Coffee Sale. There are lots of upsides to this sale. First, your unit earns 30% commission, it helps increase our visibility in the community, and this sale helps a small business right here in the Lakeshore District!

What is Roundtable? 

It is an adult meeting where ideas and resources are shared. All adults involved in Scouting are welcome and encouraged to attend.

• All Scouts BSA Troops should have answered an email about OA Unit Elections and have them scheduled by the end of March.
• OA Policy Update: All Ordeal Candidates elected this year and beyond, will have 18 months to complete the Ordeal.

WE NEED YOUTH OA MEMEBERS to attend our meetings, if we don’t get more youth to attend our meetings. We meet the same time and place as Roundtable, on the 2^nd Thursday of the month at Lakeland University at 7:00 PM.

The 2nd Annual Bay-Lakes Council Convention will be held at the Green Lake Conference Center in Green Lake, WI, on April 14-16, 2023. This is one of the not-to-be-missed events of 2023! No matter your position in Scouting, there is content for you. Friday night opens with a “Kentucky Derby” themed Scouter appreciation event (adults only). Saturday continues with leader training, Council Annual Business Meeting, District Awards, special recognitions, and more!

at Bear Paw Scout Camp this Spring!

WILDERNESS SURVIVAL MERIT BADGE CAMPOREE

May 5-7, 2023 

Survival starts at 5 PM on May 5 and concludes on May 7 at 10 AM.

Spring Camporee and learn how to SURVIVE with WILDERNESS SURVIVAL and earn your Wilderness Survival Merit Badge. Learn wilderness survival techniques by playing Survival Feud, pitting one patrol against another, to see who has the most survival knowledge. Learn the essential items that make up a survival kit that every Scout should have. Become skilled at starting fires without matches, how to attract attention when lost, understand the proper ways to treat water to make it drinkable, and finally build a natural shelter and spend the night in it to complete your training! The Camporee is designed so that if each Scout completes the pre-work and all activities during the weekend, they will have earned the Wilderness Survival Merit Badge.

BALOO: Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation

May 20-21

Camp Rokilio in Kiel, WI 

 Completion of the BALOO course is required for at least ONE leader or parent in a Pack who attends any overnight programming including: Webelos campouts, family camps, museum overnighters, EAA sleepovers, Zoo campouts, etc. (Did we give you any good ideas?) The cost is $55 per adult which covers food and facilities.
